IT'S A DOG'S LIFE:
WORKS FROM FRANCIE BISHOP GOOD AND DAVID HORVITZ – THE DOG ROOM
COLLECTION
Through August 16. This exhibition is a dynamic and diverse group of
dog themed artworks from the private collection of Francie Bishop
Good and David Horvitz. The general public is invited to bring in
their own photographs, paintings, sculptures, drawings, poems,
stories, etc. of their pets or pets they know, to include in a salon
style exhibition to be placed by the center's curator. Art and

ALICE'S WONDERLAND: A MOST CURIOUS ADVENTURE

AMAZING FEATS OF AGING
Through Aug. 23. Explore the mysteries of why and how
animals--including humans--age in this colorful, carnival-themed
exhibit. Marvel as a computer instantly ages your face 25 years,
learn how scientists can dramatically increase the life span of
certain animal species, or discover how you can slow down the aging

LIVING BY THE LAUNCHPAD: MEMORIES OF APOLLO 11
Through August 29. Florida's pioneering spirit settled our vast

over the years, and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11

MAJESTIC BEAUTY
Through Aug. 30. These original paintings by local artist Alex Yanes
were published by One World for the Publix 2009 Art Calendar. The
images depict native Florida animals that are either on the

THE MUSIC BEHIND THE MAGIC: DISNEY, 1928-TODAY
Through September 6. The exhibit narrative and design is geared for
anyone old enough to enjoy the music of Disney. The exhibit is
designed with a multi-generational audience in mind, and each major
thematic section combines Disney's past and present so that its
elements resonate with everyone from tots and teens to parents and

PATTERN WIZARDLY
Through September 7. This engaging exhibit is a whimsical sensory
experience that introduces the fundamentals of patterns. Pattern
Wizardly was developed by the Brooklyn Children's Museum with major

ROBOTS: THE INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION
May 16-Sept. 7. This exhibit captures the fun and artistry of the
20th Century Fox animated film Robots and translates it into an
entertaining and educational experience for the whole family. The
interactive exhibition will generate excitement about the science
and future of robots while ultimately answering the question, "What
really is a robot?" The Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW

THE HUMAN FORM IN JAPANESE ART
May 26-Sept.13. Japanese depictions of the human figure have been
used to express beauty, drama, heroism, morality, divinity, hope and
much more. Mimicry of the human form by shape-shifting animals as
portrayed in paintings, prints and masks, and onigawara roof-tiles
with their mask-like representations of ogres are also examined. In
addition, the show features Japanese costume, which also mimics the
human form, then molds to it as it wraps the body. 4000 Morikami

ADVENTURES WITH CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG TRAVELING EXHIBIT
Through-October 11. This exhibit's design draws specifically from
existing art that has been created for the PBS KIDS® series Clifford
The Big Red Dog and incorporates a variety of textures and materials
including a nine foot Clifford! Kids will explore art through
textures, and multi-media materials in this engaging blockbuster

BARBIE'S BACK AND SHE'S 50
Through – October 25. We celebrated her 40th birthday… now celebrate
her 50th! The museum is creating this premiere exhibit to celebrate
Barbie® as one of America's top pop icons. The exhibition galleries
will be transformed to tell the 50-year story of Barbie®, including
all her cultures and careers, with over 1,000 dolls and accessories
from the private collection of Nichole Fitzgerald of Miami. The

CSI: CRIME SCENE INSECTS
Through – January 2010. Learn the secrets of crime solving bugs! The
museum will be offering visitors a rare opportunity to learn more
about the mysterious world of crime scene investigation with a new
exhibit, CSI: Crime Scene Insects. The exhibit dives into forensic
entomology, the use of insects such as flies, maggots and beetles to
reveal critical details of a crime scene, which is a fascinating
practice that plays a vital role in solving a variety of crimes. The
